We head to one of the US’s most underated states when it comes to incidents of high strangeness, cryptid encounters and puzzling situtions this week in the company of our good friend, David Weatherly.
Montana is quite rightly known as the Big Sky state, a vast expanse that seems to be less well known than many other “strange states” from around America but once you look in to the historical reports, things become far clearer.
We have the fearsome Shunka Warak’in, a terrifying canid cryptid killed in the late 19th century that has confounded scientists and cryptozoologists ever since!
Montana also is home to one of the most notorious Bigfoot encounters in written history, the infamous Baumann case but that is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to encounters with North America’s most well known cryptid.
Yet, that’s not all that lurks in the state, we’ve Flessie, the resident lake Monster who lives in Flathead Lake, flesh eating baby monsters on the hunt for unwary travellers and bizarre case of bird monsters chasing truckers over state lines.
