Episode 153: Lumberjack Creatures of the Northwoods with Chad Lewis

This week, we head to the northwoods of the United States in the company of our good friend Chad Lewis on the hunt for some unusual creatures lurking in the shadows.

In his latest book, Lumberjack Creatures of the Northwoods , Chad introduces us to some strange and sometimes dangerous creatures hiding behind every tree.

We meet the cute and curious Jackalope, often found near the camps of lumberjacks attracted by the singing of those hard working men, the docile and loveable Hugag, a no kneed gentle giant, the vicious Hide-Behind, a fearsome man eating scourge of the woods and the infamous Hodag, a fearsome creature that made newspaper headlines toward the end of the 19th century.

It’s always good to catch up with Chad and take a trip into a forgotten world of American folklore.

A big thank you as always to Chad for his time and conversation. Enjoy!
